An announcement regarding COACH on the Mornington Peninsula.

After a year of prayerful consideration and consultation between New Peninsula Baptist Church and Crossway Baptist Church, it has been agreed New Peninsula will no longer manage COACH Community Mentoring across the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

The leadership at New Peninsula under the leading of the Holy Spirit, discerned God’s call for their Church to focus its efforts toward ministering the love of Jesus in outreach within their local communities through Community Hubs managed by their welfare arm, Community Caring Incorporated.

An exciting God led development through this process has been the added involvement of Bayview Church in Rosebud. Bayview have agreed to take over the management of COACH across the Mornington Peninsula region with the support of both Crossway and New Peninsula.

New Peninsula and Crossway have always shared a wonderful relationship of support and collaboration. This close relationship will continue with the added support and collaboration of Bayview. Together, New Peninsula, Crossway and Bayview will continue to develop COACH and the Community Hubs as we reach out to those who are lost and vulnerable in our local communities with the love of Jesus and a gospel message.

This evolution in the collaborative approach to growing the Kingdom together, is innovative and potentially a forerunner for how we take Church out into the world in the future. We are excited by the challenges we’ll face. All three churches look forward to working closely, seeing lives transformed and the kingdom expressed and extended by working together within COACH and our local Community Hubs.
